Potions exam 2008
Oh my my.... it was a nightmare once again.
If I'm righ the exam took place at 9 AM.. and ended around 11:30 AM..
Of course it did not run smoothly. And if I look at the results, I wonder if my students studied and practised.
*Shakes his head and continues writing in a black book*
And then... the Boil cure potion, that was too easy, they should know that potions, since its first years stuff.
I thought it was a gift to them, such an easy potion.. but in the end, almost everybody failed to make that potion for me, including their second attempt...
Oh, that reminds me of my last quetsion (the bonus one) of the exam.. it was worth 10 points!
And I believe only two students answered it, the others failed to answer that, such a pity.
However, I feel they do understand the basic concept of my subject (except for two or three students).
Hmm... I'll see what I can do next term, to avoid another disaster.
Therefore I am going to teach two different classes, a basic and an advanced one.
I am thinking the basic one will focus on the really simple easy things... like Water.. Fire.. and maybe some very basic ingredients...
On the other side, the advanced class will be much interesting, I am thinking to develop the confusion potion even more, combining that with the love potion and see whats happening.. can be quite interesting.
Ah well, first they can relax and enjoy their holiday, this reminds me.. that I still have to visit an old wise friend in Northern Ireland, I probably will visit Carl Layer too though, I bet he will be laughing at me, if I share the results.
Ah.. Or I just stay in my office, preparing the next term already, nah.. I deserved a holiday too, right?
*Sighs and closes the book and puts it in his desk, again shaking his head. THen he stands up and grabs a suitcase from the floor.. he pockets his wand and wraps his robe around him. After putting on his gloves he gazes at the empty classroom, shaking his head before he leaves the dungeons.. heading to Ireland.*
